MegaStone

Megastone provides construction solutions from start-to-finish. Solutions include: (i) research and development (R&D); (ii) structural / construction details and quantities takeoffs; and (iii) quality management.

The research and development includes the design-use for newly construction materials as the Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) bars, and development of the ultra-high performance fibre reinforced concrete (UHPFRC, also known as UHPC).

The structural-construction details and estimation services convert the structural drawings to placing drawings, bar list and take-off sheets. Currently the services cover the reinforced concrete structure reinforced with steel or GFRP rebars, which used for high-rise complex building, highway bridges, and other infrastructure projects. 

The quality management services develop and maintain project specifications, and monitoring site activities.

Fuzhou University Symposium and Seminar

Civil Engineering PhD candidate Mahmoud Sayed Ahmed, and undergraduate student, Ahmed Diab (who graduated in June 2016) received a Certificate of Appreciation from the Sustainable and Innovative Bridge Engineering Research Center at College of Civil Engineering, Fuzhou University recognizing their engagement with Fuzhou University graduate students in a Student Experience Seminar. The students also presented technical papers at the First International Symposium on Jointless and Sustainable Bridges at Fuzhou University, Province of Fujian, China, on May 12-14.
